Adventure Street
Create your Site.
Adventure Street is the name of an actual street in Beaufort, South Carolina. I used to live in Beaufort and always thought that was a great name for a street. So, I took the street and used it for this site. Here you will find all sorts of things I find interesting, from religious studies, to movies, to games, and so on.
Adventure Street Stories
Adventure Street Stories is the LiveJournal I maintain to update interested folks regarding my musings on the subjects of my interest. Currently, the main (semi-)regular features are the Random News Table where I post links to six odd or iteresting news stories and tell the reader to roll a six-sided die (d6) and then click on the result, and the Theology Thursday article which is more of a journal of faith lessons I'm learning at the given moment.
Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements
Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

The Monastery of Inisliath
Inisliath is a fictional Irish monastery from the eleventh century that I have been 'building' as part of my studies in medieval and church history. It is powered by a version of GTD TiddlyWiki and works like a client-side wiki page. There will be more things to do here, and will most likely always be 'under construction.'
Behind the Scenes of My Home Page
Even if I don't put much text on my home page, it's a good idea to include hidden tools that will help me promote my site, so people other than my friends and family actually see it. For example, I could add meta tags, which are hidden codes that allow search engines to find my site. I could also install stats and a counter so I know how many people are visiting. If not many are visiting, submitting my site to search engines will guide more traffic to my site.
